This magnificent Georgian-style home was built in 1914 for Cornelius Vanderbilt Truitt, a financier and businessperson, by P. Thornton Marye, whose most famous project was the design of The Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta. In 1937, the house was purchased by Nasour and Mary Mansour, the first generation of dry goods merchants known regionally for their Mansour’s Department Stores, first in LaGrange and then in other major cities in the region.
Guests to Truitt Vanderbilt Club may access the main driveway from Broad Street and park on the side or in the rear of the home.
Overflow parking is available at the First United Methodist Church parking lot, directly across the street from the Truitt Vanderbilt Club. Public parking deck is located two blocks east – behind the Courtyard Marriott at LaFayette Square.
Upon reserving a bedroom suite, guests receive an access code to gain entry to the main home and bedroom suite.
Keypad locks are on the front, family and catering entrance doors. Please enter the assigned 4 digit code to unlock the door. Locks do not automatically lock behind you, you must lock them by turning the thumbbolt on the interior of the door or pressing the lock icon on the keypad on the exterior of the door.
All guest suites are located on the second floor and are accessible only via staircase. There are two staircases to access the second floor.
